We get asked this question, where to submit your startup, a lot.

By definition, a startup is a young company that is just beginning to develop. It is usually small and is operated by a handful of people or one individual. Launching one isn’t easy and most startup fail to gain traction and eventually close down for business. In fact, as much as nine out of ten startups fail.

In order for your startup to prosper, you have to actively push it out in the market in front of as much people as possible. If you are like most startup founders, you don’t have much money to pay for advertising or to hire a PR agency. Good thing that there are places where you can submit your startup for it to gain publicity.

1. 10words

10words was created by Chris Beauchamp. The site has a simple interface that is easy to navigate and people can submit their startups here for free. “I really enjoy getting info about startups without marketing fluff or flashy graphics. We can tell right away if we want to check out a startup further, so why not cut straight to the point?” Says the site creator.

2. AllStartups is a D.I.Y user-generated content marketing media venture for founders and is also a platform where entrepreneurs can effectively promote their startup company. Their primary mission is to support, enable and encourage innovation by being the D.I.Y Media for entrepreneurs, companies everywhere.

3. AngelList

AngelList is a U.S. website for startups, angel investors, and job-seekers looking to work at startups. It was founded by Naval Ravikant and Babak Nivi in 2010. Business Insider dubbed AngelList the “ for investors and startups”.

4. Betabound

Betabound collects and organizes a variety of beta testing opportunities and present them in a structured and consistent format.

5. Betalist

BetaList is a platform for people to discover upcoming and recently launched internet startups, and for founders to share their company with the world and get user feedback. Once users submit their startup, BetaList reviews it to see if it matches the criteria for qualification. If the startup qualifies, BetaList will send out an email within a week. After that, it will take about two months for the startup to get featured. It’s a long wait but it will totally worth it since this is a huge platform.

6. Capterra

Founded in 1999, Capterra is an online resource for business software buyers. It features validated user reviews and independent research across hundreds of business software categories. This is a paid service for vendors (startups) but free for buyers.

This is a community where people working in design and technology or those interested in the topics come together to discuss ideas.

8. Earlist

Earlist is a website where entrepreneurs and business builders share their projects with a great community. According to the founders, “We know how difficult it is to get your product in front of people. We developed this community to help builders share their projects, and users find amazing companies.”

Early Stage News features milestones and other updates from early-stage startups and side-projects.

Startup companies can submit their product to this site and get user experience feedback from real people in real environments.

Again, this is a platform where apps get tested and reviewed. The site classify web apps by tagging them and creating a brief description for each one listed.
